On the sidelines of a joint conference of Iranian and Iraqi tourism industry activists in Mashhad, managers of more than 60 Iraqi tourism companies visited health tourism facilities of Razavi Hospital.

Hawzah News Agency –In this conference, Hossein Nekounam, the head of Khorasan Razavi Health Tourism Association stated, “I hope holding this conference will lead to more interaction between Iraqi and Iranian health tourism industries. We also hope to see a boom in the health tourism industry in Iran with processes such as B2B, and other measures that directly link health centers and health tourism between the two countries.”
The director of the Haj Abu Sajjad Mohammad Hossein Namani Charity Foundation from Babil province in Iraq also commented that Razavi Hospital in Mashhad is very advanced in terms of providing medical and health services.
Ehsan Ali Kazem Al-Araji added that Namani Charity sends patients abroad to provide some medical services that do not exist in Iraq. “So far, patients have been sent to Mashhad, Tehran, Qom and Shiraz hospitals for liver transplants and treatment of malignant diseases.”
“The number of patients dispatched abroad by this institute stands at about a thousand people a year, and in this regard, we have participated in a joint conference in Mashhad with the aim of expanding cooperation with Iranian hospitals and physicians, to increase the number of patients who benefit from health tourism in Iran,” he remarked.
The joint conference of tourism industry activists of Iran and Iraq was held in Mashhad in November, 24–26, 2021.
